From MSNBC: Tonight blew our minds,” theater co-owner Calvin Timothy said afterward. “We’re definitely going to keep doing this.”
This is so cool, it reminded me of my first year at Microsoft back in late 1996. I had just started on the Active Server Pages 1.0 Developer Support Team in PSS. Our team was newly formed and if I had to guess about 90 per cent us had just moved to Redmond.
Virtually no one on the team had any family or friends near by. This led to a fair amount of time at work learning about technology and having fun. Co-workers became lifelong friends and bonds we made. Our office at Lincoln Plaza sported a big screen and a Barco unit with a VCR hooked up to it. Often in the evenings when work was done we’d rent movies and watch it on this big screen. It was pretty cool.
Those were good times (almost as much fun as I am having today ;-)) We were team of folks new to the area, new to Microsoft and experiencing the dawn of the Web.
