Two years ago today, I returned to Microsoft after spending two years working at Twitter based out of San Francisco. 🌁🌲

Both the decision to leave and the one to return were easily two of the best and most difficult decisions I’ve made career wise. Ever. Change truly does invigorate the soul. These changes were also very hard on us as a family, but we grew because of them.

It was such a learning experience to get outside of Redmond. The friends I made in the valley will be for life. The skills I gained professionally – amazing. It really helped me to get back to my engineering roots.

The good news? The Microsoft I returned to was not the one I left. There is such opportunity here working on Azure.

My team and I are rebuilding “all the things” to ensure an amazing Developer experience for the cloud. That’s everything from an all new documentation experience for the company (docs.microsoft.com), to great samples, training and an all new Developer Advocacy team anchored in the cloud.

We’re having fun solving insanely difficult problems and getting things done at a rapid pace. I don’t know when I’ve ever worked this hard.

Oh and we’re hiring for all roles in the Cloud – you should drop everything and join us!

Very thankful for my family who puts up with this “job” of mine.

Enjoy your day and what you do!
