Microsoft Employees Show Us Your Home!

Are you a power user?
(wow, that’s an out of date Wikipedia page if I’ve ever seen one :-))

Anyhow, if you are a power user, please read on.

A couple of nights ago Larry Larsen, Max Zuckerman and I got together to film some new content at my home for Channel 10. This will used for a new series where we go to the homes of fellow Microsoft employees and show the technology they use.

Think about it….

Channel 9 brought you inside the halls of Microsoft, now Channel 10 will take you to their homes. Yes, I know you’re probably thinking that this will be some sort of lame MTV Cribs like rip-off series.

Not the tone we’re looking for. Instead we’re honing in on the actual technology people use in their homes.

Large homes, small homes, apartments, condos, that is just the backdrop. In the series we’re hoping to start with a number of Microsoft folks and ultimately expand it to the community as a whole.

We’ll cover things like home networking, whole-home audio, serving video in multiple rooms, backup solutions, home servers, automation, devices and more. We have an honest conversation of what seems to go well together, what isn’t working, and where they person want to take their technology. The hope being to start conversation on how to make things work and learn from one another.

The first video should go online soon. In the meantime, we need more folks to participate. So, if you’re a Microsoft employee and interested in participating, [drop me a line][7] and we’ll get you on Channel 10 very soon. If you don’t work at Microsoft and are still interested, I awesome. Let’s talk about you filming your own video.

Finally, want to create content like this? I’m hiring.
