7-11 Kwik-E-Mart: Cool Cross Product Promotion

Seattle Kwik-E-MartLast night, in Seattle I was able to see one of the coolest cross product promotions ever.

In order to promote The Simpsons Movie, 20th Century Fox has partnered with 7-11 to make over select 7-11 Stores as Kwik-E-Marts.
Kwik-E-Mart, of course is the local convenience store from The Simpsons television series.

Stores in twelve cities in Canada and the United States have received the make over. In addition to changing the signage they have launched new products too. At the stores you can purchase new products like Krusty Oh’s (cheerios), Buzz Cola (Generic Cola), Radio Active Man Comics and Pink Donut Cookies. Mmmmm, Donuts.

The store last night in Seattle was full of people buying product and taking pictures too. The Kwik-E-Mart tag on Flickr has loads of photos from the stores too. One of the workers said that since the makeover the store has been packed with new customers and that it has been a lot of fun for them. We took a bunch of photos from our stop at the store and have uploaded them as well to a Flickr set.

You really need to check this out, it is very well done and the signs in the store are hilarious. It sort of reminds me of a small-scale Flintstone’s Bedrock City. I wonder if a Simpson’s Theme Park is far away?

Thanks 7-11!
