It continues to be quite a busy and fun trip up to in Estevan, Saskatchewan.
On Monday my Dad, my Uncle Dale and I chartered a small plane to take a tour over the local area.
Things sure look different from above. We saw the Alameda Reservoir/Dam, the Shand Power Generation Plant, Estevan Comprehensive High School and a number of other places.
My favorite view of all was Benson, Saskatchewan. This is the small town of about one hundred people where I grew up.
It was a great place to live as a kid. As a I child I would ride my motorcycle right out of the garage, onto the streets and then out to the trails. Lots of good memories there, it was fun to see it from above. You can see all the photos from the flight over on my Flickr set.
We’re about done here in Estevann and we plan to make our way back into the states. We’ve spent a little over a week here. It has been a great visit and I’ve been able to get all the things done that I needed too. It is time to head back.
The next time I visit Estevan, things will be quite different. My parents will have sold their home and will have moved out to Kelowna, British Columbia making tonight the last night that I’ll sleep in my old room and the home my parents have had for over 25 years.
Weird.
