I’ve been doing the Getting Things Done (GTD) for the last few years. I’ve read the book, listened to the cds and have attended David’s three day class. GTD has helped me stay sane and manage the volumes of information I get each day. Last week David came and spoke to our organization at Microsoft.
Even though I’ve attended David’s seminar and consider myself on my way to be a GTD blackbelt I still picked up a number of tips and continue to refine how I use the system.
One of the challenges is collecting all the information on Getting Things Done that is out there. Its scattered amongst weblog posts and David’s awesome site that has many helpful documents. So a group of us we’re talking internally (actually David Weller came up with the idea) about setting up an internal Wiki to help track Getting Things Done links.
A GTD wiki would be a great resource, but it would be a shame to put it behind the Microsoft firewall limiting access to just Microsoft Employees, so we all decided that an external one would be the best. So I’ve created a section on my Flexwiki for Getting Things Done Topics. You can find it at https://wiki.jeffsandquist.com/default.aspx/GTD/HomePage.html there’s a simple link to it from https://wiki.jeffsandquist.com
Help us build an encyclopedia of Getting Things Done, tips, tools and more! Lets let a thousand flowers bloom.
