Cancelling Audible.com — continued (Goodbye Audible, hello Podcasts)

More fun trying to cancel my Audible.com account this afternoon. To see how this started in part 1 of this saga.

I called their 1-800 number at around 3:05 PM and after waiting on hold (listening to an audio book they had for background music) at 3:30 I got a represenative who verified who I was and asked what I wanted to do.

When I told her that I wanted to cancel she put me back on hold and said she’d have to transfer for me to someone else. Another 8 minutes on hold and I got someone who said she’d cancel my account, but wanted to make sure I knew I’d be getting rid of lots of credits. It was pretty quick when I told her I absolutely did not want to keep my account especially when they won’t let me cancel online.

Goodbye Audible, I’ll never be back.
