I wish I had the Roady 2

The other day while at Best Buy I noticed that they had the XM Radio Roady 2 in stock. I didn’t know the Roady 2 was coming out when I bought the Roady 1 last month.

I should have known better as rebates were abound and I suppose this was to get the Roady 1’s out of inventory. I still *love* the content, its totally changed my commute for the better. The Roady 2 though has a few new features that I want:

• Built-in Wireless FM Modulator – The Roady 2 has the FM Modulator built in.  This is cool, my Roady 1 has it built into the cigarette adapter, but its oversized and won’t let me close up the cigarette lighter compartment.  (I like a clean look with no wires)
  • Tune Select – This is neat, add a song to your playlist and XM Radio will alert you when it plays on another channel.  Not sure how many songs you can add, probably just one.
    • Personalized Stock Ticker — I hope this is just the beginning of content that streams to the device head unit. Why not also add weather and news?
      • Multiple mounting options – The velcro mounting option seems interesting and something I’d like to try.
      The good news is I am liking my XM so much in my car that I’ll probably pick up a Roady 2 and move Roady 1 to our night stand. I’ve got a home kit supposedly coming with the rebate on my Roady 1. I’ll put Roady 2 in my car as it is only $129.00
