At home in Estevan, Saskatchewan

After a longer than planned trip back home, I finally made it back to what I will always call home Estevan, Saskatchewan around 1:30 in the morning last night.

It is great to be back home. I was able to catch some of the family this morning at a brunch for the reunion and said goodbye as they all made there way back to their new home towns.

I spent the rest of the day hanging with a good friend, Kevin Armstrong who I have not seen for years. We spent the afternoon drinking beers at the local Boston Pizza (why is this chain not in the United States yet?) and then made our way over to Kyle Whitman’s house where we argued about how long it had been since I’d seen Kyle. I think it was 10 years. :->

We reminisced about glory days, fast cars, parties and other things that can’t be repeated here in order to protect the not so innocent. Anyhow, its great to be back home and reconnect a bit with my roots as they say.

I’m only hear for a few days, so I’ll definitely be packing it in. Man, its hot here, but as they say, “It is a dry heat. Its like a desert”
