I just ordered the Hot Link Pro from Smarthome.com, if this works all of my home theater components will be hidden away in a cooled entertainment cabinet. This device will route the IR signals into cabinets, etc. You know I’ve tried cheaper IR emitters from Radio Shack and was dissapointed in the results as they would often drop signals sent via the remote.
The hot link pro has gotten rave reviews out in the message boards. I’ll let you know if this unit works, I hope it does as the next one up in the Home Theater food chain is $350.00 as opposed to the hotlink price which is $100.00

Postscript: It works!! The FedEx man just delivered the Hot Link Pro about 10 minutes ago and I now have it installed. It works great, with no lag/signal loss when it sends the IR signals to the devices. Absolutely no comparison to the lousy pyramid things Radio Shack sells.
_My media center is now hidden behind the cabinet and I am currently picking songs from Napster and viewing pictures with my remote control and it is working great.
Now I just need a cooling solution for my cabinet.
